Workflow Summary
Send us your background plates and we will send you a 3D scene file scaled and orientated in the 3D software package of your choice.
Your 3D scene file will contain the tracked camera, match animation of characters and tracked objects if necesary. Your scene file will also contain set geometry based on the needs of the shot (ground planes - walls - objects etc.)
For every shot we also provide a composite test for quality control and to demonstrate that the matchmove is working.
WORKFLOW DETAILS
1) Matchmoves.Net LLC will sign a standard Non-Disclosure Agreement before we review your shots for bidding purposes if necessary
2) Client will provide a login to your ftp site so we can retrieve the Quicktimes of your shots to bid, or we can provide you with a login to our server if necessary.
3) Matchmoves.Net LLC will review your shots, consider the work to be done and submit a bid. We bid each individual shot and itemize them on the bid document.
4) Upon the bid being accepted, we will establish a shot priority and delivery schedule, as well as any naming convention requirements and other technical information for delivery specs.
5) Client notifies Matchmoves.Net LLC when the high res plates are online and ready for download. Matchmoves.Net LLC will download the production plates and work begins. We will also provide frequent progress reports and ETA's as the work progresses. If there are alot of shots or very long shots client must put all plate photography on a hard drive and ship it to us in order to save time on big downloads.
6) When a shot is ready for review Matchmoves.Net LLC will upload the composite test and scene file to the clients server for review. An email will be sent that a shot has been posted and waiting for approval. If a shot needs a revision for some reason, thats no problem. Matchmoves.Net LLC includes three revisions per shot if necessary. If the shot is not working after three revisions, then cleary its due to problems in the plate photography and additional post solutions will be required. Although these problems shots are identified upfront if possible and planned for.
*All work is done remotely.
TURN AROUND TIMES
Turnaround times vary depending on the complexity of the shot and the schedule established. However, Matchmoves.Net LLC works on an ASAP delivery schedule. But we will not sacrifice quality for speed, and we also prefer to have as much time as possible for each in order to achieve the highest quality work.
REQUIREMENTS
-Client must provide high resolution (Undisorted) plates that have been approved by the compositing supervisor or CG supervisor of your facility, since this will effect the end result matchmove.
-Production plates to be provided in any standard image format. Cineons, DPX, JPG, SGI etc.
-Field sheets and camera reports (with lens and take information) are also required. If you have location transit data, ...send it. The more location/stage setup data you can provide for us, the more accurate and faster the turn-around time for you shots will be.
-We also require the film back settings with the lens information. If you do not have the film back settings, you must provide us with the type of camera that was used for the shoot. This is vital since it will effect the resulting match move.
-If you have accuracte 3D geometry for a shot to be matched, please submit it to us as a polygon .obj format as cleaned up as possible. If you have LIDAR scan data models, please submit them as an obj format as well.
